I am not leaving Daily Kos. I stopped visiting when I was overwhelmed with caring for my granddaughter. I stopped writing and reading. But I have been back for a while again.
But also
I am not leaving
Twitter ……. yet.
I agree with Dee. If you have curated followers and enjoy reading what they wrote. It is your decision to decide whether to leave it or not. Many people don’t use it much and therefore their feed sucks. As a naturalist/educator, I follow many young PhD students highlighting their work. I follow my friends from here. I follow interesting journalists from my favorite news programming. I follow Ukrainians tweeting about their struggles. I follow my favorite animators. I follow women in STEM.
I follow Democratic activists push back on every Republican tweet. There are a lot of people WORKING on Twitter.
As bad an actor as what’shisname is, I don’t think it is good to just hand over the whole platform to very vile people.
I follow Greg, Dee, Mark, Markos, Vicky, Adam, Fricat, many ShelterBox feeds and more.
I signed up to Mastodon, Bluesky, Spoutable, Trible.
None of which give me the satisfaction i get as when Kathleen Vale rips Paxton and Abbott in response tweets.
And I also don’t feel like leaving.
