King has a lot of campaign money and never has a decent candidate running against him.  I've been stuck in his district for the last ten years but, am finally out of his area.

Bad politicians are sent to Washington by good people who don't vote.

Did you move or was it just the redistricting? His district has sadly been safe forever and this newly drawn district seems to have dug him in even deeper. I've been fruitlessly voting against that asshat since I moved here. I don't know anyone that likes him and honestly can't find one good thing that he has ever done for his constituents (other than the necessary post 9/11 pandering). He never answers his emails and avoids Town Halls like a meeting of the Muslim Brotherhood. He's got the millionaire money in his war chest and sucks up to the local tea baggers for good measure. That asshole is never going away. I'll vote against him any time though, just in case.

has been redrawn such that it's much more Democrat rich. That he's got incumbency that carried him through this cycle, you know, gifts for his voters, AKA pork, but he's vulnerable to a challenge in 2014 if someone starts, like, now.
He may have burned a few bridges with his party and he may have trouble getting them to back him next time, so with enough luck and shoeleather, that may be a pickup seat.
But Christie's career arc is the stunner. A year ago, he was a "rising star" He keynoted the Convention, now he's THE DOG that they are enjoying kicking. The Turncoat! The Traitor who broke ranks and actually cooperated with the KenyanSatan. And that lost the Northeast for Rmoney and so fu(k 'em, make 'em wait for Sandy relief.
And both of these guys, as stalwart Republican as they can be, are laying it right where it belongs, on the "Leadership" of the GOP in Congress. And they can reach people that no Democrat or Liberal or whatever can.
Today is not a good day to be a Republican north of DC and East of Ohio.

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!

Then I moved out of NY to Virginia! He is a typical photo-op only politician.
