  •  Actually, the conservatives on Staten Island are (0+ / 0-)

complaining about any place damaged by Sandy other than in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut being included in the Sandy Aid Package.

I suspect everyone has seen by now the complaints that Katrina victims got so much more help and so much faster when the fact is that New Orleans is STILL in recovery mode.

The real eye opener for me came in early December when Staten Island Borough President Molinari, despite desperate pleas from people still without homes that could be occupied was standing firm on this:

Molinaro has opposed Katrina-like trailers from the outset, saying it would create a "colony" of people who would "never move out," and telling U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano during her initial visit here there was no need for them on Staten Island.

On Friday, Molinaro said he has not changed his mind.
