It's been a very trying primary season. A lot of mud has been slung, but after careful consideration of the statements by the candidates, I think it is clear that any thinking person must choose Kodos. I'm not trying to say anyone who doesn't choose Kodos is an idiot, or doesn't care about the planet, or America (even though they probably don't) it's just that the facts speak for themselves. For instance, it was Kang, not Kodos who said: "Abortions for all.", but when confronted by an angry crowd, flip-flopped and said "Very well, no abortions for anyone." When the crowd booed again he came up with his now famous lame compromise "Hmm... Abortions for some, miniature American flags for others." Is this really the kind of leadership America needs now? It gets worse...
Kang tried to placate our desire for change us by saying "The politics of failure have failed. We need to make them work again. Tomorrow, when you are sealed in the voting cubicle, vote for me" but was also heard to say: "Fooling these Earth voters is easier than expected." We can do better than supporting this cynical, manipulative type of politics.
Kodos, on the other hand, has been an inspiration to me. His most recent speech still haunts me:
"My fellow Americans. As a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball, but
tonight I say, we must move forward, not backward, upward not forward,
and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom."
How can you compare the speeches by your puny candidates to Kodos's words: "Twirling towards Freedom" Isn't this what Kos is all about? Aren't we all attempting to twirl towards freedom?
(Don't post a comment about how Kang and Kodos were holding hands, that's an old rumor and has been discredited. The main stream media reported on this fully and I'm convinced (along with all thinking people) that the two WERE exchanging long protein strings. I agree with Kodos: "If you can think of a simpler way, I'd like to hear it."
You can throw away your vote for whoever you want in the primaries but my vote is for Kodos.
