I was just watching MSNBC and there was a breaking story about a man in Florida who has been taken into custody for threatening to assassinate presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama.
He made the threats during training in Florida. His automobile was found with weaponry, body armour, etc.

MSNBC Story
MIAMI - A man is being held in Florida by federal authorities on charges of threatening to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Raymond Hunter Geisel was ordered held without bail Thursday at a brief court hearing.
The Secret Service says Geisel made the threat during a training class for bail bondsmen in Miami in late July. Another tipster said Geisel also threatened President Bush.
Seems to me that this was just some random lunatic, but the story continues with this:
A search of Geisel's SUV and hotel room uncovered a loaded handgun, knives, dozens of rounds of ammunition, body armor and a machete. The SUV was wired with emergency lights.
Hopefully this gets covered later on by Keith Olbermann or Mike Barnicle later on in the day.
I've got to get back to work, I'll update in 3 hours or so.
Update: MSNBC has a video report:

Raymond Hunter Geisel, age 22, was arrested in Miami after he was overheard talking about Obama in a racially insensitive tone. He apparently had notions of wanting to assassinate George W. Bush as well. So there's a lot more to this Maine native's story.
I don't know his motives, but he according to the Secret Service Geisel was suffering from PTSD. They couldn't specify how they knew. I do wonder, though, if he's an Iraq War veteran with serious emotional problems. Hopefully we'll hear more about this individual.
Props to the U.S. Secret Service for being on the ball and taking care of business when it needs doing.
