The economy continues its downslide. Stocks continue to fall, personal incomes fall. Does Wall Street like the Sarah Palin pick?
Without a doubt, the economy will be the number one issue folks consider when they go to the polls November 4. McCain has articulated no economic policy and I fail to see what the choice of Sarah Palin adds to McCain's economic deficiencies.
Economic concerns don't affect just people who have lost their jobs or been foreclosed upon. Those of us fortunate to still have jobs and health insurance, who have worked out asses off for decades and saved for our retirements are looking at a very dismal future if McCain gets into the White House. Every day the market tanks, millions of regular Americans lose money in their 401(k)s and IRAs. I see nothing in the McCain agenda that leaves me any hope of my retirement funds rebounding at all. And he wants to privatize Social Security?
Seriously, folks, this Sarah Palin choice was a cynical political move that is designed to help no one but John McCain. It reeks of desperation, while the financial futures of millions of Americans hang in the balance.
