Paul Kane at the Washington Post is reporting that Sarah Palin used a line-item veto in 2008 to reduce funding for Covenant House, a program for troubled teens that includes the "Passage House" for teen moms.

ST. PAUL -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live.
The info was obtained from a copy of a 2008 spending bill that the Post got its hands on and Palin put her initials "SP" on the line-items. With the support at DKos for places like Pretty Bird Woman House seems like something the people at this site should know.
