In a true spirit of a grassroots driven campaign a new website popped up soliciting ideas on what the president-elect should tackle as his priorities after he assumes presidency.
The site is simply named fixthisbarack.com
Now, I don't think governing via a digg/reddit like website is a good idea but it could at least provide some indication of the collective thought of the younger population. Crowdsourcing and wisdom of crowds are popular themes on the net these days but very little evidence is still available to prove the model's superiority over a traditional top down approach. Yet it's inescapable that the influence of the internet on the way this election was decided is undeniable. Likewise it should come as no surprise that many people (possibly even Barack Obama himself) would like to see this new strategy extended to the way the nation is governed. Do you think Obama should adopt fixthisbarack.com or launch an initiative based on a similar idea?
