The Iranians are willing to show up in the streets everyday to demand change. They are risking their lives for what they believe in. Americans are risking their lives everyday by not having access to healthcare. We need to get our leaders attention when it comes to healthcare. That's why I'm proposing taking it to the nets.
Healthcare Tuesdays
How about a day of support for healthcare every week.
An "I want the public option" rally on the nets.
Let's twitter/e-mail the White House/Congress/cable news all day long.
Only tweet about healthcare.
Nothing else.
A real demand for change.
I don't know much about twittering or organizing. But how much does one have to know. It only takes a minute. But if millions of us did it, someone would have to take notice. The CNN anchors are always asking us to twitter. So let's do it. Besiege them with tweets about the public option all day long. Nothing else. Kos could dedicate the front page to healthcare all day long. He's got a headstart with his Healthcare Tuesday column,. We just need to kick it up a notch. It would get noticed. Crash the White House servers. Call all day long. Demand a strong public option. Every Tuesday til they cave.
Nobody has to "go" anywhere. Just let your voice be heard. E-mail everybody you know. Crash the servers. Let 'em know we are serious.
Tuesday.
Be There.
