I was going to take a break from writing diaries over Christmas, but this really rattled my cage:
Sign our letter to Senator Sanders, reminding him that Vermont voters will not forget this, and will hold him accountable for whatever his final action is at the ballot box.

You really don't want to go there Jane and you want to know Why?
This vermonter voter says go dunk your head in some ice cold water and think again.
I say NO
Never
Jamais
As a representative then senator he has upheld my views time after time:
Sanders opposed the authorization of force against Iraq in both 1991 and 2002 and is a strong critic of the Patriot Act. He is a strong proponent of a single payer health insurance program and a longtime supporter of veterans’ issues.

I write letters to and receive replies from my Senator.
He has my total confidence.
So I say to this:
Your strategy in this is graded
You want more reasons?

Talk about trying to shoot ourselves in the foot.
I have never seen a campaign with so little merit, its a total fucking disgrace.
The only thing you have managed to do is piss me off and a great number of Vermont voters as well.
We have the most progressive delegation in congress so back off, we lead the curve in progressive policies in our State.
So I say Jane, pray that other States follow our lead before you wantonly attack our best.
Am I angry?
You can bet your life on it,
Update:
Now back to my Christmas break.
As an expat in France you have to go with the flow, Christmas dinner is tonight presents at midnight. Dinner for 12, got to rush.
Just had to have my little rant
Senator Bernie Sanders returned to Vermont after the Senate voted 60 to 39 for health care reform legislation. "The bill is not as strong as I wanted and I will work to improve it, but it begins to move this country toward the long-time goal of providing comprehensive, affordable health care for all Americans. The legislation would provide health insurance for 31 million people, end the odious practice of denying care for people with pre-existing conditions, and provide affordable primary care and low-cost prescription drugs for 25 million more Americans in 10,000 more communities. We can do better, but this is an important step forward." Vice President Biden presided over the Senate for the first
