The crappy ratings over at CNN have caused a re-alignment of strategies, it appears. The see the ratings boom going on over at Fox News and apparently have some ideas about how to boost their own dismal ratings. Instead of delving deeper in to issues and maybe covering things in a new way, they have decided to slant right.
On CNN I just watched the bald midday dude carry on an interview at 1:35PM EST, Thursday the 8th with Michelle Bachmann. Not one point made by Bachmann was disputed or challenged. She griped about a "20% hike in taxes" that would occur from a proposed VAT, as mentioned by Paul Volker. Then we heard about how de-regulating the energy companies would lead to greater availability of energy resources. It didn't occur to the bald dude (i'm bald, so i'm calling him bald w/o being nasty, just descriptive. It's not worth the time it takes me to look up the dudes name, i'd rather spend that time typing this diatribe about not knowing his name and referring to him as bald than research his name. He's that worthless to me.)that maybe such deregulation of safety standards might have led to the death of 20+ miners just this week. They then went on about how she wants to repeal the HC bill that just passed. No mention how Obama would never sign such a repeal and no mention how it's next to impossible for the Rs to get enough seats this fall to overturn such a veto.
All this got me so steamed, so i decided to send off a blistering email to the suits over at CNN. I went to their POLITICS page and what did i find...a feature story on the Southern Republican Leadership Conference going on, with a big picture of Newt. To the left there were four feature stories along with it. The first was about the Palin/Bachmann rally, the second about the role of Independents in current day politics, and the last two about the Tea Party. I see a pattern, don't you. These chicken shit stooges at CNN have decided to go Hannity on their viewers. Do what you can to let them know that there's better ways to improve viewership than going Fox on us. Like stop bringing in the same partisan stooges for interviews and maybe have civil dialogue between thoughtful, provocative people who have something new to say.
Sorry for brevity and messiness, i'm at work, but i had to get this off my bald head and hairy chest.
