Sorry - this isn't a diary. This just came from AP and I didn't see it out here:
WASHINGTON — Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell of Delaware said in a 2006 debate that China was plotting to take over America and claimed to have classified information about the country that she couldn't divulge.
O'Donnell's comments came as she and two other Republican candidates debated U.S. policy on China during Delaware's 2006 Senate primary, which O'Donnell ultimately lost.
The sad part is, this isn't the kookiest thing this senate candidate has said - not by a long shot. It leaves me wondering just what she thinks the U.S. policy toward China should be... Perhaps she favors a sneak thermonuclear attack? Who knows.
And about that classified information she claims to have. Where does she claim to have gotten it, and - given that I don't think she holds a security clearance - how did she supposedly get it?
