Very simple question: Is it time for a balanced budget amendment?
From none other than the tools at clownhall.com, er Townhall.com, comes the absurd notion of a constitutional amendment requiring a balanced budget.
This is like a business passing a corporate rule that the business can NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER borrow money. Not even to make payroll as many large corporations do. Certainly not to expand.
No, the fright-wingers want us to run our country like a business that never expands, is always paid up front and in full all the time, and is always profitable no matter how bad the economy is.
In other words, they want us to build our fiscal policy around a completely delusional interpretation of how things work.
Oh, and ignore the fact that Bush had 6 years to push a balanced-budget amendment through his iron-clad majorities in Congress, and instead ran up $6T in red fucking ink.
So please, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go massively vandalize this stupid fucking clownhall production. I'd like to see if Kossacks can take it down by the weekend.
