Earlier, it was posted that Rick Perry did not have enough qualified signatures to get on the Virginia GOP primary ballot.
Now, the Republican party of Virginia has said that Newt Gingrich has also failed to get enough signatures to get on the ballot.
Virginians, you have Romney and Paul to choose from.

I always wanted to write a diary with BREAKING in the title!
Update: Candide08 posted a more fleshed-out diary about this here.
And here is RedState whining about it all. The comments are the best part. Yep, right off the bat, they blame Obama. They think he must have been the one doing the challenging. Amazingly, there is one cooler head who calls nonsense and points out that challenges to signatures are a good thing (thinking Wisconsin).
Update2: Apparently 2,000 of Gingrich's 11,000 signatures came without addresses. They don't even have to challenge anything because a signature without an address is automatically disqualified because it can't be verified.
So, Gingrich HIRED signature gatherers and they weren't told they have to get addresses? Way to go, Newt. I hope his campaign coordinator is getting fired over this.
