I am a passive community member. Two short diaries in 4 years. I'm an active reader but not an active participant. I make few comments and few recommendations. I enjoy the community, the intelligence and the reality but hold back from deeper involvement due to lack of time and a need to not pay more attention to politics than I already do. I have to keep some balance in my life.
My finger is cramping from recommending every anti-Operation Hilarity diary I can find. In all my years, I have never found a more misguided proposal and the fact that Kos is the one pushing it makes it that much more troubling.
Vote for Santorum? And go against the very essence of who I am? To "prolong" and already dysfunctional Republican primary process?
From everything I've seen, they are doing a better job of screwing things up on their own. Why put our community up for ridicule for this misguided effort? They don't need our help.
We are well into this process and all the candidates continue to flounder. The Repugs are still seeking another option. The Santorum surge has occurred without our help and appears to be growing on its own.
Let them do it their way. The more people see the less they like the candidates. Why do we need to try and influence an already floundering process?
Please cancel Operation Hilarity. It can do nothing but harm us. I see no way that any miniscule affect on the GOP primary will outweigh the internal damage to the community.
No Operation Hilarity for me. It isn't funny.
