I recently posted this Diary telling of a rather freak accident where my friend's dog suffocated to death in her arms.
My friend, Martha, broke a knuckle (and got several teeth puncture wounds) trying to save her beloved Bronco, a large and beautiful 4 year old German Sheppard.
Martha was hospitalized with a fever for three days and was unable to come to work as her grief was so overwhelming.
She needed an operation on her broken knuckle but came to work the day before the operation to catch up and to let us all know that she was going to be OK.
She shared what happened with me and I wanted to share it here...
She and her husband were in the yard playing with Bronco throwing balls. Bronco would often take two balls into his mouth while playing. He had two balls in his mouth and, in his excitement, took a third into his mouth.
The third ball forced one of the others down his throat and his devoted humans were unable to dislodge it.
I just wanted to let folks know of the circumstances. Be careful with your furry little friends.
