There's s fire on a jet airplane.
People are panicking, cooler heads must prevail.
Suddently a voice from the back says, with authority,
"Open the windows, let some oxygen in!"
Who doesn't admire a man with such clear thinking, who doesn't respect such level headed decisiveness, who wouldn't vote for a leader with a plan?
Well lets start with the other passengers, the crew and the pilots.
At yet another $50K per plate rubber chicken floggin fundraiser, in Beverly Hills CA
Mitt addresses the 20% (of air that is oxygen)
Mitt bemoaned Dear Ann's recent travails flying the unfriendly skies yesterday,
when her flight had to divert to Denver for an emergency landing, and the LA Times this Morning reported that he had this wisdom to offer pasengers, crew and airplane designers:
“When you have a fire in an aircraft, there’s no place to go, exactly, there’s no — and you can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem. So it’s very dangerous.
If he were only unclear on remaining calm during an emergency, that would be enough to distrust his ability to guide us out of some future dangerous situation we might find ourselves in.
But he took it upon himself that he was entitled to straighten everything out, retrospectively implying that:
1) perhaps passengers should be able to open windows on airliners and this would make things better during an emergency and
2) that delivering more oxygen to a fire would actually put it out.
I'm sure it sucked the oxygen out of the room he was fundraising in.
I wonder whether it sucked the remaining air out of his campaign?
