In watching the debates, it becomes evident that Romney has no intention of playing by the rules that he and his campaign agreed to.
He ran roughshod over the hapless Jim Lehrer in the first debate and tried it again in the second, although Crowley was slightly more adept at handling his behavior.
But what it really shows is that in the debates, as in his personal and professional life, Bishop Willard is a pampered little princeling suffering from a terminal case of entitlement, and who believe the rules don't apply to him. His willingness to spew lies in a presidential campaign is but the latest in a long litany of behavior that demonstrates this.
The Obama campaign should use Bishop Willard's own debate performance against him to show this, using a montage of clips where the moderators tried to get him back within the rules and he acted like the asshole he is.
By the way, Rolling Stone has an excellent history of Romney and the Mormon church that contains some very scary insights into how directed he is by the church. This is perhaps the greatest threat to the separation of church and state in our history.
