A lot can change in four years.
I've been gone (more or less, unless one counts some really determined lurking) for 784 days. Pretty sure nobody really noticed (not self-pity, just knowing that everyone had much bigger fish to fry in that time!). So what has happened since then? Follow me across the stylish break (nice design cue, BTW).
After Obama's first election victory, I resolved to stay here; it was nice, friendly and "my kind of people". Then, of course, the recriminations set in (and I mean no offense here, honestly, although I did predict it to a certain extent.
Then all hell broke loose (personally, not politically).
My son was diagnosed with moderate autism (forthcoming diary on that issue, I am certain)
My wife had a small stroke (stress induced at the age of 28).
My mother-in-law and father were both diagnosed with cancer.
My uncle committed suicide.
And my father died.
Not a banner several-years.
But now, composed, older, probably not wiser, new career opportunities yawning wide before me (or, if not career opportunities, at least serious-hobby opportunities) I return to spread..well, whatever it was that I spread before.
Everyone will have to make up their own minds about precisely what that was.
