Amid all of the loudly-trumpeted political news of the day, don't feel too bad if you haven't heard about this one yet — Mike Rogers has gone out of his way to sneak CISPA onto the floor as quietly as possible.
For those just tuning in: Yes, that CISPA...
...The SAME bill that guts American citizens' privacy by overriding all existing privacy law to "encourage" corporations to spy on us for the government lawsuit-free;
...The SAME bill that Republicans rammed through the House last year through dirty tactics;
...The SAME bill that the Senate barely managed to stop by their inability to come to an agreement on their own bill.
Techdirt has an article with more about Rogers calling "do-over" on this unnecessary abomination of a bill; also, EFF has been running a campaign about CISPA (& Daily Kos has a petition you can sign as well, urging President Obama to veto CISPA — as he promised he would last year — if it crosses his desk).
Now is the time to remind Congress that cyberspying is unacceptable.
