Brighten your spirits by watching the one-minute video the Boston Globe has on its site of 300 people dancing in the night at MIT with lighted umbrellas. I can't embed it, apparently, but it is so worth the click.
The man you hear giving direction is Matt Kent, associate artistic director of the dance troupe Pilobolus. What thrills me most is that the organizers are thinking about holding a large-scale Umbrella Project (UP) performance on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
