I didn't find anything on this and I think it is pretty incredible...
Came across a very interesting discussion on a talk show... Sophie_co about veteran Israeli soldiers banding together to voice opposition to Israeli occupation of the West Bank.
The vet interviewed, Avihai Stollar, was articulate and informed as he described what Israel is and has been doing to Palestinian people.
Some 900 former IDF soldiers are coming forward to expose just how the government of Israel has been abusing and terrorizing the Palestinians for decades. They are being called a few "rotten apples" and, as usual, there is only the sound of crickets coming from the MSM.
The soldiers formed Breaking The Silence an organization which collects confessions
from soldiers about what they had to engage in during their military service in the West Bank or Gaza.
The group wants the world to know the truth. Palestinians have no freedom, none. Innocent people routinely terrorized by soldiers breaking down their doors and dragging them out of bed arresting them for no reason. Well, he said, one reason is the training of the soldiers.
They actually pick on innocent people to train soldiers and to create such a climate of fear that the people are paralized by it.
As a "buffer zone" for the West Bank occupation, the Israeli government evicted thousands of people from the town of Hebron.
Stollar said it has been going on for decades and the government's denials are just accepted without question. He said soldiers ultimately realize what is actually going on and now they're so disgusted, they're "coming out."
from the interview:
Sophie Shevardnadze: Our guest today is Avihai Stollar, a member of the IDF Veteran’s Group ‘Breaking the Silence’.
Avihai,it’s great to have you with us on the program. Basically, ‘Breaking the Silence’ is a community of IDF
whistleblowers, right?
Avihai Stollar: Yes, Actually, I guess what we’re trying to do is collect and publish stories, testimonies of soldiers who served in the occupied territories, and, I guess, advent some kind of debate, discourse regarding the nature of the military control over the occupied territories.
Stollar feels that the government is making things much worse, he advocates for a two state solution and asks how can you expect to have a peaceful democracy when you deny it to others. He said, they call us "moral occupiers" when there is no such thing.

Interview with IDF veteran
This really gives me hope... this is the second bit of good news I heard this week.
The first was Philadelphia City Counilman, Jim Kenney who authored a moving resolution, calling upon the Philadelphia School District to make Howard Zinn’s best-selling book "A People’s History of the United States" a required part of the high school U.S. history curriculum. It passed as a non-binding resolution on October 24, 2013.
Is it sanity finally?
