Let me just say that I have paid nearly 30 years for an insurance policy that covers penile cancer. I have paid for over 10 years for an insurance policy that covers Viagara prescriptions. I have paid for a policy that covers sickle-cell anemia and cerebral palsy and juvenile diabetes. I have paid for a policy that covers spina bifada and Down's syndrome and prostrate cancer, circumcision and hemophilia. The odds are just about zero that I will ever need to use my policy for any one of these conditions, but I don't mind that they're included in my premium. I believe in reciprocal back-scratching and because of my history with asthma, I appreciate its efficacy.
Kinda pisses me off that people who may need to use that coverage (which from what I've seen tend most to be the Viagara prone ones) get so bent outa shape when contraception becomes part of what's covered on their policy. Single payer would be so much better, but ACA hands down trumps what came before.
