Hey, I never said he was. I only asked the question. Because people want to know.
As I assume you're aware by now, a traumatized Iraq war veteran named Omar Gonzalez from Texas was arrested again today for hopping the White House fence and rushing up to the residence. This is the same hyper-paranoid dude who did the same thing a few days back to warn the president that "the atmosphere is collapsing," which event prompted Rep. Peter King (R-NY) to call for a thorough investigation by the Homeland Security Committee.
And Rep. King wants us to know it's because of ISIS.
"...how anyone, especially in these days of ISIS, and we're concerned about terrorist attacks, someone could actually get into the White House without being stopped is inexcusable."
These days of ISIS.
Because Islamic terrorists have a long history of White House intrusions. Except they don't.
Among the 32 recorded instances of intruders at the White House since 1912, only one has involved anyone at all associated with Islam was Tareq Salahi, the husband of the husband-and-wife team of state dinner gatecrashers from 2009. Salahi, however, is much more famous for his vineyard and his wife running off with Journey guitarist Neal Schon than with Jihaddist tendencies.
But King insists on linking White House-crashing nuts with ISIS. Why? Who are the REAL terrorists the congressman protecting?
Is it the Pokemon Liberation Front?
The League of Pissed Off Old Guys from Florida (pretty big group to investigate)?
How about Tea Party types obsessed with the Gadsden Flag?
Guys who really should think twice before acting on every idea they have when they're stoned?
Maybe we should really be worried about terrorist toddlers.
We don't know who Rep. King is covering for when he tries to link White House intruders with Islamic terrorists. But, by God, we should know.
Maybe the Homeland Security Committee should investigate...
