Wouldn't you give anything to get rid of this guy?

this if you understand math:
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is on track to vastly outspend his Democratic opponent on television during the final two weeks of Kentucky’s contentious Senate campaign.
The numbers are the latest sign of trouble for Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, who was once viewed by Democrats as having a decent chance to knock McConnell out of office.
The Republican has placed reservations for $2.1 million in broadcast and cable television advertising across a broad array of media markets between Tuesday and Nov. 4. A pro-McConnell super PAC is scheduled to run another $1.4 million in television spots during the same period.
Grimes has reserved $1.4 million worth of television time, in fewer broadcast markets and with less of a reliance on cable than McConnell.
Only United Mine Workers was scheduled to be on the air backing Grimes up in the final two weeks of the campaign, but with a paltry $89,140 buy in Charleston, W.Va.
...
Kentucky is divided into about a dozen media markets emanating from about five states. Louisville and Lexington are the biggest homegrown markets in a state that also is served at least partially by Cincinnati, Ohio; Charleston, W.Va.; Evansville, Ind.; Nashville and Knoxville, in Tennessee; and Tri-Cities, which covers parts of North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia but also hits a slice of eastern Kentucky.
McConnell has reserved time in each one of these markets from Oct. 21 to Nov. 4; Grimes is not. In almost every market, including the biggest ones, McConnell has reserved more total airtime than Grimes. Indeed, Kentuckians for Strong Leadership, the pro-McConnell super PAC, has bought more television advertising than the Grimes campaign in markets like Bowling Green, Ky.; Cincinnati; and Charleston, W.Va.
The latest
poll from the Kentucky Senate race has Grimes down a point. It is probably a little more than that, but there is no question that Grimes is close and McConnell is under 50%. It is reasonable to assume that for the first time that I can remember in my life, that the Senate Republican Leader is in serious danger of losing his seat.
Why aren't local and national Democrats carpet bombing this state with an opportunity like this?
In 2004, Democratic Leader Tom Daschle was in as much trouble as McConnell is now. He led by a slim margin throughout the Spring and Summer, and even during September and October he was ahead by the slimmest of margins in the better polls. You know what the GOP did? They poured it on with fresh money and negative ads in an election where the candidates spent $30 million a piece. So did Dems. In a tiny state. A week before election day they were dead even. We know Thune eeked out a 51-49 win, taking out the Democratic Leader for the first time in I can't remember. But I do remember this: that was an election that was contested hard by every party operative, donor, electioneer and supporter in the country. We didn't lose by leaving Daschle out there by himself and that the GOP certainly didn't leave Thune out there with no help. The Chamber went in HARD.
We could talk Harry Reid from 2010, a campaign whose high quality will be noted for years to come, but I don't want to compare a quality politician like Alison Grimes to Sharron Angle. But since I brought it up,
Instead, his groups' money -- and heavy support from other Tea Party groups as well as organizations like American Crossroads -- is flowing to support other GOP Senate candidates, most notably Sharron Angle, who is mounting a strong challenge to the re-election bid of Nevada's Harry Reid, the Democratic leader in the Senate.
"Harry Reid's scalp is the biggest scalp out there," Wilson said. "Decapitating the Senate majority leader is a bargain if you can do it."
Hillary Clinton has campaigned for Grimes and that's great. Bill Clinton will be there today and that's good too. The paltry $300k the DSCC is spending on GOTV will help a little. But even the most robust GOTV doesn't get you more than a point or two, and that's if you're exchanging fire over the air shot for shot. We're not. We're getting buried. Furthermore, lets face facts: there aren't enough Democrats in the electorate in the Federal years to simply rely on GOTV. This is a deep red state. We need some Republicans to stay home, and that means negative. Lots of it.
Call me a traditionalist if you want, but when I see an opportunity to take out a Senate Leader, I say we go all in. Maybe we will get some luck and pull this out, I hope so. But if we lose, it would sicken me for lack of trying. Alison Grimes is a great candidate with a meh campaign. She faced an uphill path from the beginning in attempting to unseat a powerful incumbent. But despite all that, she is giving it her all and hanging in there. National Democrats, SuperPACs, donors, unions, et al, need to do the same.
