Seems the Teabag/Ted Cruz backed gun zealot Tony Tinderholt is actually too deep in the crazy even for Republicans in Texas. This plain white message was stuffed into my screen door the other day:
Dear Neighbor,
This year's election is important for Arlington. We need a State Representative who is credible and reflective of the values and needs of our entire community.
We are supporting Cole Ballweg for Texas House District 94. Although we are all longtime Republicans, we don't care about his party affiliation. He is a good man and a successful local business owner who cares about Arlington and is not driven by radical ideology.
We refuse to support his opponent, Tony Tinderholt, merely because he has an "R" by his name. He is an extremist who, besides advocating for violence at the border and the invasion of Mexico, recently ranted and raved in front of our City Council in support of the rifle-toting, irresponsible group that advocates for the open carry of firearms by scaring people and harassing our police.
Let's join together to put the future of Arlington ahead of party politics. Please vote for Cole Ballweg.
Sincerely,
Mac Bernd, former AISD Superintendent
Charlie Parker, Arlington City Council
Jimmy Bennett, Arlington City Council
Dr. Ned Patrick, D.D.S., Community Leader
Paid for by Cole Ballweg for State Representative
Yes, Tony advocated invading Mexico to stop the scourge of unaccompanied pre-adolescent refugees rampaging across the border so they could kill us big, manly Texans.
Check out a rare Ft. Worth Star Telegram's endorsement of a (gasp) Texas Democrat.
Y'all thought we was X'stinked, din'cha.
Invading Mexico is not a good plan: Arlington voters in House District 94 race should reject Republican candidate’s extreme views
