On Hardball last night, Chris Matthews completely blasted Senator Tom Cotton for being a puppet of the neoconservatives, particularly Bill Kristol and his merry band of idiots. Chris Matthews is far from being a progressive, and he says some dumb and thick-headed things all the time. But last night he nailed it with his spirited attack on Cotton, Kristol and the Republicans in the Senate.
In his "Let Me Finish" segment at the end of the show, Matthews lays out how Cotton was entirely manufactured and groomed by Kristol to get elected and do the neocons' bidding. Then he blasts Cotton and the other Republican senators for signing the letter to Iran that was ghostwritten by Kristol. It was short, to the point, and clearly showed Matthews' disgust for the neocons.

It's short and worth clicking on to read in its entirety. But here is one excerpt at the heart of his speech:
Don’t they have any pride? Don’t Republicans want to be known as thinking Americans, people who care about this country protecting itself? Why would they want to be suckers for the latest propaganda move by the neo-conservatives? Is this Mitch McConnell’s way of “leading from behind”?
I'm glad that someone in the media is exposing Tom Cotton as the creep and toady that he is.
