[Hat tip: TPM.]
In response to Jeb's much-discussed gaffe of explaining that if he knew what we now know he would still have invaded Iraq, extreme right-wing partisan and Fox-news commenter Laura Ingraham has flipped her wig. Behold the glory:
Now, check out this key passage around 3:05 in the video (my transcription):
You have to have someone who says "I'm a Republican but i'm not an idiot! I'm not stupid! I mean, I'm a conservative and I learn from the past and I improve myself. I don't bring in the same people who made the same STUPID decisions in the 2000's to get us into the 21st century, the next part of the 21st century, I should say." So come on.
Did anyone catch that? Quite beyond criticizing Jeb for poor campaign strategy, she is loudly and passionately agreeing that
we, the loathed unwashed of liberal land,
were completely right all the time. What does she have to say about the Bush administration and their decisions that brought the country into war? Play that tape again:
...the same people who made the same STUPID decisions in the 2000's...
And not merely saying or implying it, but
shouting it. Just listen to how she spikes the word "stupid." She sounds like Alan Grayson!
Ms. Ingraham, you are more than a little late to the party, but you are welcome. If you want to set up a DailyKos user account, I suggest you chose your user name carefully. I'm pretty sure that xxxapologeticwingnut2015xxx is still available.
