"Margin of error counting"

Tue May 06, 2008 at 08:47:19 PM PDT

If the Gary numbers project out, Obama wins.

Indiana

91 percent reporting

          %    Dels
Clinton  51     31
Obama    49     27

Vote margin: 19,790

North Carolina (Winner: Obama)

98 percent reporting

          %    Dels
Obama    56     31
Clinton  42     20

Vote margin: 225,266

28 percent of Lake has reported. I thought they were waiting to report it all?

That 28 percent gave Obama about 17,000 votes. If it projects out, Obama wins by about 20,000 votes.

By the way, the title of this post was a Chuck Todd quote. MSNBC says half of Gary has reported. The rest of that county is more Republican (and thus more Clinton). So we can't project out fully.
