All of the great work being done here could be ineffective if we are too distracted by the puppets of power and not targeted on the puppet masters. The puppets of power are Bush & Company. The puppet masters are corporations with deep pockets seeking to control our politics and our law. In looking at laws, just passed recently, who benefits most? What are the hidden tacked-on measures benefiting? Hagar & Burton's book, "Secrets and Lies" describes the puppet master process well.
Why is this important? The puppets are replaceable, so what appears to be a victory could be a hollow victory. Focusing on the puppet masters gives us new alternative strategies. Focusing on the light of reason on the real decision makers, gives more chance to persuade and to change. In any case, threatening the real heart of the opposition would be better than threatening replaceable puppets. The very cloaked nature of the corporate activities tells us that the corporate ambitions are not in the best interest of the common good.
