Conspiracy theory: The Jefferson's office raid edition

Sat May 27, 2006 at 03:00:03 PM PDT

I've been thinking about this for a couple of days now, and I've come to a conclusion: this entire 'debate' is fake. Completely, totally, 100%, top-to-bottom fake.

Bush Unaware of Port Sale Before Congressional Opposition

Wed Feb 22, 2006 at 01:40:16 PM PDT

Don't see this as a diary yet, so:  From a new Washington Post article

President Bush wasn't aware of the sale of six U.S. ports to an Arab company until after federal approval was granted and congressional opposition erupted over the deal, his spokesman said today.

Cheney shooting: Media angle I'd like to see

Fri Feb 17, 2006 at 10:23:33 AM PDT

There's been a lot of media attention paid to Cheney's shooting accident, and I think the Democrats have an opportunity to weave this event in with the more important scandals facing Cheney.

The particular angle that I'm thinking of involves the revelation of Cheney's involvement in the Plame scandal last week.  I think it would be quite helpful if, when asked to comment on the Cheney shooting, Democrats could mention that they're not terribly surprised something like this would happen, considering that the stress Cheney is under due to his involvement in the Plame scandal.

Give me liberty or give me death

Wed Dec 21, 2005 at 02:13:35 AM PDT

A truly great exchange happened on the floor of the senate today:
Sen. John Cornyn: "None of your civil liberties matter much after you're dead." Sen. Russ Feingold: "Give me liberty or give me death."

(The part that makes this worth a diary (I hope) comes after the fold)
