Finally got a response to an e-mail I sent regarding the CIA report about intelligence failures surrounding 9/11, motivated by one of the 8-Minute Activism diaries. From what he writes, sounds like this report will never be made public (unless it's leaked). But it does appear they're working on it.
From Senator Bill Nelson (D:FL):
Thank you for contacting me regarding the Central Intelligence Agency and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
I share your concern about recent allegations that the CIA is withholding a report examining the responsibility of senior-level officials for intelligence failures prior to the 9/11 attacks. I fully support the requests made by the Chairs and Ranking Members of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) that the CIA provide the final version of this report to these committees for review as soon as possible. Although national security concerns likely preclude public release of the report, a thorough review by the SSCI and HPSCI will allow Congress to determine whether further action is warranted.
I appreciate your interest in this important issue. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any additional concerns.
