An top secret electronic memorandum recently discovered at the White House and sent for linguistic analysis prior to being classified, have been examined and deciphered. A leaked copy sheds new light on the government's internal attempts to craft a message of reassurance to Americans, at a time when anxiety about the reliability and security of the nation's critical infrastructure runs high. The following is a redacted excerpt, for the purposes of protecting confidential government information:
Once again, as we have seen so often in our past, America faces significant challenges in a variety of areas, not the least of which are threats to our national security and sovereignty, as well as our status as the world's engine for democracy and freedom, along with our ability to prepare for and manage manmade and natural disasters here at home, one of the most carefully guarded and important functions of the executive branch, of which the President, along with his close advisers and key officials, sits at the head, managing a vast enterprise dedicated to freedom and achievement, dedicated to the concepts of justice and a level playing field, one that allows for fair competition among all its participants, while remaining fully aware of the powerful resourcefulness of markets, given the technological advances of the current century, which promises to be one of robust economic strength and growth, while keeping an eye out for entrepreneurial innovation in order to properly capitalize on the enormous potential that resides in our diverse and broad based culture, in which all are allowed to pursue excellence, seeking to sustain themselves economically and spiritually in such a way so as to lead by example while never forgetting to look back to learn the lessons of the past, in manner befitting the proper comportment of a great country, whose values have served for so long as a beacon to the world, regardless of race or religious division, which as most here know, has served to divide before and will continue to divide, despite our best efforts to put behind us the periods of low expectation and tumult that describe some of the difficulties we, as Americans, have encountered in the past, and continue to address, moving forward, with a sense of resolve undiminished by the nature of the task at hand, even though others have tried and failed, failed not in a sense of defeatism, but in the sense of recognizing that even with the great unleashed potential that exists in every human being, there come limitations whereby the community can step in and shore up those whom society has failed to adequately address and recognize, and for whom some of the responsibility must be said to reside within the sphere of the private sector, who will therefore be even more motivated to achieve excellence, demonstrating yet again the can-do spirit of forthright accomplishment that marks so much of what we as a people, and as a nation have achieved previously, and will continue to acheive, strong though the urge may be to dwell on prior disagreements and misunderstandings, which in the end serve only to further the divisions entrenched throughout our history, that in the end will be shown to have yielded to prudent policy making decisions which factor in a host of time-honored and long agreed upon approaches, such as those envisioned by the Founders of our republic, which bear fruit to this day in ways that are many and manifest if one takes the time to search them out and follow the example laid down by those who are undeterred by the challenges that lie ahead, for which much remains to be done, all current steps toward progress notwithstanding, especially considering the considerable, in fact unprecedented, obstacles which we as a people have been slow, heretofore, to take on, and I thank you for the opportunity to address the substance of that line of inquiry, as opposed to belaboring old notions of blame gaming, for which there will be sufficient opportunity to be afforded in the fullness of time, though recognition must be given to the fact that this is not one of those times, coming as it does at a moment of reimagining the way the American taxpayer shares his or her burden, never forgetting our responsibilities as caretakers to the environmental legacy that defines us as good stewards and honorable keepers of our planet's resources, which we have devoted much time and energy insofar as coming up with sound ideas and implementations designed to maximize unyielded reserves in such a way that does not jeapordize the longstanding dependencies and bilateral agreements that serve to underpin the framework of our infrastructure needs, without ever sacrificing quality assurances, which as a wise man once said, in simpler and more peaceful times, though I would be careful to draw a distinction between what was once understood to serve our country's interest which now might seem to be the legerdemain upon which we practice our most profound understanding of government and citizenship, which if you look at what the President's programs call for, looking ahead over the next several fiscal years, you'll be hard pressed to avoid concluding that we are on very solid footing and looking at turning the corner very quickly and decisively in favor of long overdue reforms that will carry on our great legacies to future generations, provided that they have the means to sustain current commitment levels, which this administration is confident will be borne out going ahead, as I'm sure a thorough look at our court system, for instance, will show, with special attention to stare decisis questions, all of which should serve to shine some much needed light on the most adviseable methods of reaching accomodations, when speaking strictly in terms of present indicators.
