I know our brains are dizzy with the enormous challenge of trying to undo massive damage already done to our rights, humanity, common sense, etc. But the Bushplan is full steam ahead on enslaving as many humans as possible and cementing their real financial power. Our victory is a "blink" a "comma" in greedy world domination by very organized plutocrats.
My emotions are particularly stong on Vietnam because my neighbors, friends, families, and classmates bled or fled or tried and died under the manipulated impression that we could "save" helpless Vietnamese. Aside from the lies which put us there, our blood spilled for a cause. Many are still paying the price mentally and physically.
Draft dodger Bush demands a yes vote in his pocket, THIS WEEK, so he can blithely SELL OUT THE SUFFERING of the poor Vietnamese and the human and economic cost we all paid for Vietnam war. Foreign press is more aware than ours. US "normalized" trade a few years back, but only with a yearly approval from Congress. This lets us say NO if their citizens are being abused or trade practices are not fair. If they use slavery and sweatshops. If they abuse women or human rights.
BUSH wants PERMANENT status, so our Congress can no longer say NO!!!!! It is selling out another nation to allow it to be exploited by his Corporate Cronies. One foreign writer analyzed that Mexican and Chinese wages had gone TOO HIGH. Next victim please. PERMANENT, as in cannot go back later and change it. I don't need slavery. I can use fewer wardrobe items to allow living wages for workers. All this takes is voting or filibuster or political capital. I feel like we owe it to our veterans to prevent this.
Here's an article about an interesting facet. Apparently escaped Vietnamese Americans think their nation has not EARNED permanent free pass. What??? American terrorists? Will we lock up all our Vietnamese immigrants as "suspected" terrorists or "harbor" them. It explains other quirks of "permanent" and WTO deal. Very sneaky.
The only people to gain from a yes vote are multirich corporations who fear their "investments" might be at risk if Vietnam gets nasty and we vote STOP "trade" to force humane worker treatment. Should we just holster our last weapon which could protect these long suffering victims of various world EMPIRES like ours? Does anyone else care? Is it important? Or am I blowing in the wind? Again?

THEY WERE SMUGGLING RADIOS TO COMMUNICATE---does that mean their MSM is not telling the world the truth? Radios are dangerous? Truth is dangerous? News is dangerous? Would it be death penalty if caught blogging??????
