"Countdown with Keith Olbermann" finished the first quarter ahead of CNN's Paula Zahn in the key 25-54 year-old demographic ("the demo"). This marks MSNBC's first quarterly primetime victory over CNN in the demo in almost five years.
"Countdown" posted big gains in both the demo and total viewers, while CNN and Fox News suffered double digit drops in the advertiser-friendly demographic.

Countdown averaged 164,000 total viewers in the quarter, up 41% from Q1 2005. Zahn averaged 158,000 demo viewers (down 33 percent), according to MSNBC. Bill O'Reilly averaged 450,000 in the demo (down 24 percent).
Olbermann also beat Headline News star Nancy Grace in the demo. According to program ranker data, Grace averaged 154,000 demo viewers

Hopefully the Traditional Media is starting to figure out the following: Honest reporters who are not afraid to exercise their first amendment rights and duties to US citizens to challenge our leaders will get higher ratings than reporters who toe the Administration's line night after night after night. Even more importantly, I hope the advertisers are paying attention to these ratings!!
