I initially saw this story in the Syracuse Post-Standard, they don't have it on-line yet but I found a link

The Post-Standard article claims this is the second animal to test positive for the disease that was born after a ban on feeding cattle protein to live cattle, raising questions about this so-called "firewall".
From what I can find it seems "the powers that be" are much more concerned with burying this story than actually trying to protect consumers. Sooner or later it's going to blow up in their faces and it'll be interesting to see who gets the blame.
