In one of the most ludicrous political events of the year, supporters from HillaryNow.com, the organization that supports Hillary Clinton for President in 2008, "protested" Al Gore's book signing in Nashville on the day of the film's red carpet premiere.
Why?
From The Tennessean:
"Ellie Stevenson of Hendersonville, a member of the group, said protesters will gather peacefully because they feel Gore is the only person who could block Clinton's nomination in the 2008 election."
Stevenson also said many protestors are upset because of the war in Iraq.
"If (Gore) had stood his ground in 2002, America would not be in the mess we're in now," Stevenson said.
Guess nobody told Ms. Stevenson that Al Gore was the only prominent Democrat (along with Howard Dean) who did stand his ground against the invasion of Iraq in '02, while Bush appeasers - like Hillary - voted to go to war.
If this is the caliber of people that are helping elect Hillary, we have nothing to worry about.
Oh, and thanks HillaryNow, for sidetracking a premiere event of one of the most important films of our time for self-serving publicity.
