I know - I know. All the countless diaries speculating on will Colbert run or not have worn us all thin, but Stephen Colbert has announced and the race is on.
Stephen Colbert on Meet the Press
Colbert goes on Meet the Press to answer the tough, hard hitting questions such as would he pick Larry Craig as a running mate. The answer to that one is... Yes.
We've had our country run by B actors and a fake cowboy afraid of horses. Now is time for a comedian for president, even one that fears bears. (A more rational fear than fear of horses)
Since the days of presidents that say "we have nothing to fear but fear itself" have long since past. Let's have a president with at least rational fears.
For this an other reasons, I am no longer holding out for Al Gore or president and will throw my support behind Stephen Colbert for president.
Colbert proves ... his hair never falters.

Or will this be more of, I'll scratch your back and you scratch mine?
If you say it's a job only a chimp can do, I say, show me an actor in a monkey suit.
UPDATE: Well it looks like this diary ... needs a little something. So I'm adding a poll!
UPDATE 2: I'm not sure this diary is getting the attention it deserves, so I'm adding a picture of my blue healer doggie, named Lu (very French)
