The Diary that tops the list today is the breaking news of Scott McClellan's book to be released in April with the a title that resembles OJ's "If I Did It" with his new book "What Happened".
FireDogLake has more and this photo
Here is the quote from Scott McClellen's book titled "What Happened":
"The most powerful leader in the world had called upon me to speak on his behalf and help restore credibility he lost amid the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. So I stood at the White house briefing room podium in front of the glare of the klieg lights for the better part of two weeks and publicly exonerated two of the senior-most aides in the White House: Karl Rove and Scooter Libby.
"There was one problem. It was not true.
"I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice President, the President’s chief of staff, and the president himself."
Keep in mind, this is the only quote from the book so far so there's bound to be more. I would guess copies of the book would begin circulating soon.
We know this is a bombshell because even though it's being discussed on
Editor and Publisher, here and on Air America Radio, it's not getting a breaking on the CNN page or anywhere else.
It could be that the writers are off traveling to their Thanksgiving Day since Bush has already choked, err ahh pardoned the Turkey,
or it could be that News this stunning has to be chewed and spun around for a few day by our media before they "break" it.
While it's not on the New York Times main website yet,
it has made it to their blog The Lede.
I left this comment on the NYT's blog:
Ex-Bush Spokesman’s Tantalizing Snippet on C.I.A. Leak
It sounds like McClellan had a conscience, but that didn’t keep him from being complicit in the crime of covering up the of outing covert CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson.
As soon as McClellan knew he was lied to, he should have marched down to Pat Fitzgerald’s office to say what he knew of "What Happened".
As many of us expected, the President and the Vice President and others committed the crime of treason in outing Valerie Plame Wilson.
The question now is, what will be done about it?
This is - if Scott McClellan knows it or not, a smoking gun.

When Patrick Fitzgerald completed his case against Scooter Libby he did say if other witnesses or information arose, he would stand up and re investigate and convene another Grand Jury, well, it's time for that.
Scott McClellan is a prime witness.
Waxman should reopen his hearings into the leaking of covert CIA Agent Valerie Plame Wilson's name and cover, and yes .. under oath please.
The last I knew, it was still a crime to know of a crime and not alert others to your knowledge of it.
McClellan saying he resigned because he knew of crimes doesn't absolve him of being complicit in crimes of cover up and co-conspiracy.
Why did he choose to write a book? Rather than march down to Fitz's office and or Congress? Or have Fitz and Congress had this information from McScotty all along?
This will be big News and I'm not sure Scotty McClellan knew what he was doing when he wrote this book. Did consult his lawyer first?
What do others think? Does this implicate, rather than exonerate Scott McClellan?
Is this the bombshell and smoking gun that it appears to be?
