Rather than fume at my friends coworkers and family, I chose, as I often do, to write directly to the President and tell him how I feel about the Libby decision.

Mr. President, in light of the illegal an immoral war you started in Iraq, and your policies of torturing human beings, it is clear that you are morally misguided.
Today's commutation of Scooter Libby's jail sentence reveals that your sense of justice is also off-kilter.
You who allowed a man to be put to death in Texas even after you were informed that his court appointed attorney was asleep at his trial, are now saying that a sentence was excessive? Your view of justice is obviously as skewed as your sense of morality.
You and your administration have made a mockery of our Constitutional form of Government by abusing loopholes and creating false arguments in defense of your corrupt and self serving policies. Scooter Libby, along with Karl Rove and Dick Cheney, deserves to be in jail for committing treason through the revelation of a covert CIA operative's identity. You seem to only care about laws when they affect other people. When your loyal subordinates run afoul of the law, then you find it 'quaint' (as Alberto Gonzales - who should be fired - would say.) and inconvenient.
The American people find your endless self serving policies excessive.
We find your steadfast determination to ruin our Constitutional form of government tedious.
We find your promise of endless and pointless was unconscionable.
Please, stop the war and the torture to demonstrate they you do know what "excessive" means.
Peace.
