In an article titled "McCain hammers Obama on Florida bus tour" by Steve Holland of Reuters, John McCain continues lying about Barack Obama's tax plan. If there was any doubt that John McCain would continue his sleazy attacks while Obama temporarily left the campaign trail to be with his grandmother, just read this article.
Steve Holland reports the following:
McCain is resting his hopes on instigating a "Joe the Plumber" voter uprising against the better-funded Obama by whipping up populist sentiment over Obama's comment to Ohio plumber Joe Wurzelbacher that raising taxes on people making more than $250,000 a year would allow Washington to "spread the wealth around."
McCain called that redistribution of income and said it would hurt small businesses responsible for much of the country's jobs. Some people at his rally were waving "Joe the Plumber" T-shirts.
"He's more concerned about using taxes to spread the wealth than creating a tax plan that creates jobs and grows our economy," Arizona Sen. McCain told a cheering throng at an Ormond Beach lumber yard.
"Sen. Obama is more interested in controlling who gets your piece of pie than he is in growing the pie," McCain said.

Last night, on Countdown with Keith Olbermann, Keith played back the entire encounter between Obama and Wurzelbacher. Obama did not ever use the phrase "spread the wealth around". In fact, Obama gave a coherent and complete answer to Wurzelbacher's question that was consistent with both his speeches and answers during the debates. Obama explained that in the "straw man" scenario posed by Wurzelbacher that he may actually save money on taxes.
It's time to end this nonsense. McCain is simply lying about Obama's tax plan.
