Barack Obama came back to Cincinnati just three weeks after his last visit. This event was held at Nippert Stadium, on the grounds of the University of Cincinnati. Given the timing of this event, a balmy Sunday evening in November, many more were able to turn out to see him.
The crowd was greeted with a host of local candidates and officials:
-Connie Pillich, State Rep for the 28th District
-Dr. Victoria Wulsin, for Ohio's 2nd Congressional District
-Steve Driehaus, for Ohio's 1st Congressional District
-Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory
-Governor Ted Strickland
Barack ran about a half hour later than his planned start time of 9:00 p.m. He began by thanking those that spoke before him, as well as university president Nancy Zimpher and the Bearcats. He then greeted the raucous crowd by starting with "Ohio, I have just two words for you: two days,". The crowd went wild, waving signs and chanting, "Yes, we can."
Below are the photos I got both while waiting in line and at the event. Their quality isn't quite as good as I had hoped. The battery on my camera had died so I had to take them with my BlackBerry. Enjoy!
Lines stretched on and on...
