Or should I say Hillary McCain?
If she is our candidate...
I will vote for the Democratic candidates for other offices, and I will not vote for the Republican presidential candidate. I will leave the presidential ballot entry blank.
Why?
She may release position papers similar to Obama's, but in her behavior and her speech there is no apparent substantive difference between Clinton and McCain. They act the same, they say many of the same things, and they even engage in coordinated attacks against Obama.
She is on the wrong side of almost everything, especially the truth. Every day brings new prevarications, hemming, hawing, and outright lies from Clinton, on everything from NAFTA (was she for it, was she against it), her record as a senator, her backing of the Iraq war, her donors, her husband's strange business buddies, the possibly shady dealings over the funding of the Clinton library, the delays in releasing her taxes, and then....
SNIPER FIRE! Seven times we got "Sniper fire!" from her. And then she pimps out her husband to spread lies about her lies.
She's a multimillionaire elitist politician calling another politician elitist.
This latest fiasco put me over the top. It has been a recognized fact in America for the last twenty years that Republicans (and Republicans posing as Democrats) cause inaction in government, then use the bitterness that induces to push distraction issues in elections. The list of these partly phony issues is almost endless, here are the highlights: flag burning, partial-birth abortions, gun rights, Terri Schiavo, religion in school, the war on Christmas, secularism, immigration, gay rights, crime waves, drugs -- do I need to go on? When Obama points out this obvious truth, what does Clinton do? Does she act like a good progressive would? "What Sen. Obama says is true, which is why you need someone like me, someone with the fortitude to fight, someone with the experience to bring victory, as your candidate for president." Does she say that? Nope. "Obama said the B-word! Obama said the B-word!" And the Republicans chime in as if she had them on speed-dial (she actually might).
I won't vote for her. Save your breath, I mean it. I will never vote for her. I won't do it. In her own way she is just as lacking in trust and ability as McCain. This isn't sour grades, I started out the campaign season as an Edwards supporter. I won't argue about it. I've made up my mind. Not even holding my noise will I vote for her.
I won't vote for her.
