OK, OK, I know I'm taking the low road here, following up on my McCrank diary with this one. But isn't it true? Bill Richardson called him out on it
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D) said Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is "overreacting" and "whining" in response to The New York Times refusing to run his editorial about Iraq.
so why can't I?
Think about it. McCain's campaign is turning into a series of litany of self-absorbed complaints:
Decrying environmental conservation on behalf of his oil buddies.
My friends, we have to drill offshore — we have to do it
Protesting that "the surge" caused the Anbar Awakening and subsequent drop in violence in Iraq.
I don't know how you respond to something that is such a false depiction of what actually happened.
Denying his own words.
Actually, I don't know where you got that quote from. I'm very well versed in economics.
Braying that his opponent wants to "lose" the war in Iraq.
Obama would rather lose a war in order to win a political campaign
Releasing a video complaining about positive media coverage of Obama:
And last, but not least, whining about the recession.
We have sort of become a nation of whiners
Their campaign has become totally reactionary, desperately flailing for any fecal matter that'll stick. Instead of looking commanding and presidential, McCain is coming off as a pathetic whiner.
