Here are some interview questions someone needs to ask Sarah Palin. They may seem inflammatory, but this line of reasoning is prevalent among her more extreme coreligionists.
Everyone has the right to practice their religion in peace, but when a sect's beliefs becomes a toxic threat to our pluralistic society, be it radical Islam or dominionist fundamentalist christianity, it is a perfectly reasonable topic upon which to question those who are asking to be made responsible for our common political heritage.
- Do you believe that it was the intent of the Founders to establish a government that favors Christianity and Christians?
- In a christian nation like the United States, if there is a legal dispute between a christian and a nonchristian, where the christian's position is grounded in christian principle, should a federal judge always favor the christian?
- Is it possible that at some time in the future it may be necessary for christians in the United States to take up arms against nonchristians, in defense of christian principles?
- Is it permissible for a christian to lie to a nonchristian, if the lie serves to help christian principles to prevail?
Respectfully submitted,
