So, I had every intention of writing a diary about additives to our food and comparing American standards with the British and the EU. Then...work occurred. I have been busier than a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest.
Today we had a celebration luncheon for the food drive where we honored those who made the largest contributions. Needless to say, there was CAKE. Chocolate cake with some sort of creaming filling and nice light chocolate buttercream frosting. I traded in my rice AND my beans and half of my main dish to have a piece of that cake.

What does that mean? First it means that I really wanted that cake. Second, it means that I can eat what I want...in moderation, if I am willing to make some sacrifices for it. Third, it means I ate the cake and I didn't blow my diet.
