Lubbock County Judge Tom Head
To put it mildly, he's a buffoon. Lubbock Democrats, Independents, and even some Republicans have been embarrassed by his kooky ramblings and extreme behavior before. But we've got a great new party chair, and the local party is doing what it can to reach out to the community that is turned off by extreme Republicans like Judge Head.
But it is an uphill battle, and we can use all the help we can get. Would you please consider donating to the Lubbock Democratic Party? Every little bit helps us fight back against turds like Tom Head, and hopefully replace them with our candidates.

In the meantime, I'd like to leave you with the local party's response to Head's foolishness.
LUBBOCK COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY CONDEMNS CIVIL WAR FANTASY PROPOSED BY LUBBOCK COUNTY JUDGE TOM HEAD
During an August 21, 2012 appearance with County Commissioner Mark Heinrich (R) on Lubbock's FOX 34 News, Lubbock County Judge Tom Head (R) embarrassed his constituents once again by turning to conspiracy theory instead of sound policy making.
In order to justify a proposed increase to the property tax rate, Judge Head presented the reelection of President Obama as a potential worst-case scenario, devolving into this mad apocalypse:
"He's going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the UN, and what is going to happen when that happens? I'm thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we're not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we're talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy. Now what's going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He's going to send in U.N. troops. I don't want 'em in Lubbock County. OK. So I'm going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say 'you're not coming in here'. And the Sheriff, I've already asked him, I said 'you gonna back me' he said, 'yeah, I'll back you'. Well, I don't want a bunch of rookies back there. I want trained, equipped, seasoned veteran officers to back me."
Judge Head's remarks are pure paranoid fantasy straight out of the Eagle Forum or the John Birch Society. When Judge Head says, "take up arms and get rid of the guy," is he threatening the President of the United States? Judge Head's remarks are beyond reason for someone who has sworn an oath of office. The citizens of Lubbock County deserve better than a County Judge who fantasizes about Sheriff's deputies fighting the federal government in a modern-day civil war.
The Lubbock County Democratic Party condemns in the strongest possible terms the remarks which Judge Head made. Judge Head's remarks are completely inappropriate, and he ought to resign.
