For the past number of years, I have followed the same Black Friday shopping routine. Usually if my family is with us, my father will join me.
The only place were we go, is a little used bookstore about 20 minutes from my in-laws. There is a never a crowd, but there might one or two more people in the store.
It is so much fun wandering through the store and looking through the shelves for some forgotten treasure(not in value, but in ideas) or some book about history or something about a subject I never knew about.
Some years, we might actually spend $100 on books, which for this used book store is about a bankers box worth of books. They even write out the receipt by hand with each book title included. Getting home, it is so enjoyable to look through and read the book that you have picked up.
Another Black Friday, without the lines, without the crowds.
