A reporter named Gary Langer, who writes for ABC/OTUS News, has an article up tonight saying:
Mitt Romney heads into his nominating convention with a solid shot at the presidency but substantial challenges en route - including broad perceptions among a downturn-battered public that, if elected, he'd favor wealthy Americans over the middle class.
Um...not if you believe that Nate Silver has the most accurate statistical political data. Tonight fivethirtyeight.com puts President Obama's calculated electoral votes at 298 and his likelihood of winning the election at 69.4%.
That doesn't translate into "a solid shot at the presidency" for Romney.
The mainstream media is getting stupider by the minute. This, combined with the other diary up today about how Jake Tapper demonstrates the uselessness of the media, just solidifies my opinion.
Dang. I am almost ready to do something I have never done, which is to agree with Sarah Palin. It is the "lamestream media" after all, isn't it?
