after the terrible events yesterday in Boston where many were kiiled and injured Obama was quick to say that the full weight of our system of justice will come down on whoever did this. And, as glad as I am to feel that such is true, I also had to suppress some anger.
Not my anger at whoever did this, for they/him/her surely deserve whatever justice can be brought to bear. The anger I had to suppress..for the moment...was that the full weight of our justice department is not being brought to bear on the banksters that destroyed our economy and the quality of life, and perhaps the actual lives of millions of Americans.
I know dwelling on the past and Obama's refusal...refusal...to act doesn't buy me anything. But I darned sure feel those people are just as guilty of the murder and maiming of our nation as are those who set those bombs.
And I think it's both unforgivable and absurd for us to focus on the one without also calling for justice on the other. I hope any who choose to write the White House will ask Obama why he isn't pursuing these "domestic terrorists" as well as those who set the bombs. And, we KNOW who those people are.
Just my two cents...on a sad day. I haven't had the news on...perhaps there's something new to know...but the media is having a circus. "Sir, I understand you were 20 miles away when the bombs went off....can you describe your most intimate feelings and tell us what you saw?" It's disgusting. I'm surprised CNN isn't dangling Wolf Blister from a helicopter looking for evidence or interviewing birds that might have been flying over at the time of the explosions. They seem hardly able to suppress their grins that they've got a hot story. Ugh!
May all the wounded heal...and real justice be done.
